RE: Why is it tongue weight, if it doesn't have a mouth?

OK, why Black water when it's really brown?
If you don't carry toys in a toyhauler, is it "just" a trailer?
That whole "5th wheel" thing....

RE: filling up with water

As for Dove Springs, pull into the Red Rock Canyon State Park parking lot - they've got good water for payment of the day-use fee ($10, I think).

RE: Rotten floor, need direction

Only 2 years old no warranty ?
This has been beat to death around here... WW is out of business, and the warranty is only good for the MATERIAL, not the INSTALLATION of the material. So if a seam leaks, you're S.O.L.

RE: DTV Coupon program falls short on funds

Already installed mine. And used it last weekend at an off-road race at Plaster City outside of El Centro, CA. SIGNIFICANTLY better picture than plain antenna. Almost cable quality.

RE: Rotten floor, need direction

Procedure is the same for any of the damaged areas.
Expose the damaged material, and replace it. In the case of the roof, I'd suggest using 3-M Fast Cure 4200 adhesive to do the final sealing around trim pieces. Lots better than the original Dicor stuff, IMO.

RE: Laughlin NV to San Diego, CA

Palm Springs Aerial Tram
Pick one of the many RV resorts in Palm Springs, and take the toad over to the tram for the day... nice and cool on top, incredible views, but only average food, unless it's changed in the last year or so...

RE: Using water pump to drain water.... bad idea?

Plus, the water acts as a lubricant and coolant for the pump. Run it dry for any significant length of time (say, 30 minutes), and you'll probably ruin the pump.

RE: WW Fuel Pump Blows Fuses

I had the same problem...
...placed that on a flat service....
use a 1/4" piece of glass on a table... the glass is nice and flat. Don't trust the concrete floor of your garage.... and do the sanding in a figure-8 pattern... i.e. hold the gear in one hand, and rub it on the sandpaper in a figure-8 pattern.

RE: Hey Hap Hazard - Fossett's wreck site?

They found Fossett's remains. Looks like the story is over.
Philip
They did? Was he near the ID'S?
CNN Link
"Federal investigators say they found body parts amid the wreckage of missing adventurer Steve Fossett's airplane in the mountains of eastern California."
So he would've been approx 1/4 mile from the ID's.

RE: Hey Hap Hazard - Fossett's wreck site?

still a lot of questions, like what was his id, cash and sweatshirt doing miles away from the crash site....reports said plane flew straight into the side of a mountain...which tells me either he was dead/having problems healthwise, or no one was piloting the plane when it crashed?
that guys still alive somewhere, with a couple hookers, living it up
Not miles away... From CNN:
"Investigators homed in on the area near Mammoth Lakes on Wednesday after hikers there found a sweat shirt, cash and identification cards with Fossett's name. The hikers did not find any wreckage; an aerial search discovered the airplane parts about a quarter-mile away"
Not unusual for pieces/parts to be scattered for hundreds of yards in a plane crash. Then if animal activity took place, stuff could be scattered even further.

RE: Rust stains on my coach

A more important question, is, WHAT CAUSED THE RUST?
Could you have a leak somewhere and a screw is corroding in the water?

RE: Covering camper for winter rain

camping world "addco" covers won't last more than a couple years, I know i've bought four of them in sucession. This year I spent roughly 550.00 on a sunbrella cover from Calmark covers in Oxnard, CA. Its great, their great, and I'm stupid for not having done this a long time ago.
My Calmark cover just got put on for the first time last weekend. Now I gotta pull it off to go camping THIS weekend.

RE: Campfire and smoke alarms??

Build the fire further away? Honestly, I've never had the alarm go off in all the years of campfires/RVing.... So long as you re-connect the battery, you're good.
